Chinese balls

Kegel balls are a type of training device primarily used to exercise the pelvic floor muscles. They are made of two balls connected by a cord or base and are inserted into the vagina. As the woman moves, the balls generate a gentle movement and vibration, causing the pelvic floor muscles to naturally contract to keep them in place.

Benefits of using Chinese balls:

1. Strengthening the pelvic floor 💪

  • They help prevent and treat urinary incontinence, especially after childbirth or during menopause.
  • Improve core stability and posture.

2. Increased sexual pleasure 💞

  • A strong pelvic floor improves sensitivity and muscle control, intensifying sensations during sex.
  • They can help achieve more intense orgasms and facilitate natural lubrication.

3. Postpartum Recovery🤱

  • They contribute to the recovery of vaginal muscle tone after childbirth.
  • They prevent pelvic organ prolapse.

4. Better blood circulation

They promote irrigation in the intimate area, which can improve vaginal health and prevent discomfort such as dryness.

5. Greater body awareness 🧘‍♀️

Regular use of Chinese balls helps improve connection with one's own body and give greater control over the pelvic muscles.

It's important to use them properly and not overuse them, as with any other type of exercise, it's essential not to overload your muscles. If you have any concerns or specific health conditions, it's advisable to consult a medical professional before starting to use them.

Medical studies with scientific evidence:

1. Strengthening the pelvic floor and improving urinary incontinence.

A study published in the International Urogynecology Journal (2013) concluded that the use of Chinese balls in combination with Kegel exercises significantly improves pelvic floor strength and reduces urinary incontinence in postpartum women.

2. Impact on sexual function.

Research published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine (2016) showed that women who used Kegel balls for 12 weeks reported increased sexual desire, lubrication, and satisfaction compared to the control group.

3. Prevention of pelvic prolapse.

A clinical trial conducted in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (2019) indicated that the use of biofeedback devices such as Chinese balls helps prevent vaginal prolapse in women with risk factors.

How to use Chinese balls safely

1. Choose the right ones for you.

  • If you are a beginner, start with light weight balls, maybe 60g.

  • As you strengthen your pelvic floor, you can increase the weight, up to
    90gr.

2. Hygiene is key.

  • Wash them before and after each use with warm water and neutral soap.

  • Use a special intimate cleanser if you prefer.

3. Use water-based lubricant.

  • Facilitates insertion and prevents discomfort.

  • Do not use silicone lubricants if the balls are made of this material, as it may damage them.

4. Insert them correctly.

  • Gently insert the Chinese balls into the vagina, similar to a tampon.

  • Leave the pull cord out for easy removal.

5. Start with short times.

  • Start : Wear them for 5 to 10 minutes while moving.

  • Progression : Gradually increase to 30 minutes a day, but no more than 1 continuous hour.

6. Move around while wearing them.

  • Walking or doing light activities is ideal.

  • Avoid sitting, as this puts less strain on the pelvic floor.

7. Do not use them if you feel pain or discomfort.

  • If they bother you, check the size or weight and try a lighter option.

  • If you experience persistent pain, consult a pelvic health specialist.

8. Do Kegel exercises with them.

  • Squeeze and release your pelvic floor muscles while wearing them.

  • You can do 3 sets of 10 repetitions.

9. Avoid sleeping with them.

  • They are not designed for extended or overnight use.

10. Do not use them in certain conditions.

  • During pregnancy without medical approval.

  • If you have vaginal infections or discomfort.

  • If you have severe prolapse or recent surgeries in the pelvic area.

🌟 Extra Tip

If you want to make sure you're using them correctly, you can consult a pelvic floor physical therapist. There are biofeedback devices that help measure your pelvic floor strength while you use them.
